Publication Ethics
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics. The following are ethical principles that all involved in the publishing process, including authors, reviewers, and editors, are expected to abide by:
-
Author Ethics:
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted.
- Disclosure: Authors should disclose any information that may influence the interpretation of their research results or interest that could be perceived as a potential conflict of interest.
- Errors in Published Works: If authors discover significant errors in their published works, they must promptly notify the journal to retract or correct the paper.
-
Reviewer Ethics:
- Objectivity: Reviewers should be objective in their assessment, convey criticisms constructively and avoid personal comments derogatory to the authors.
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must keep any information regarding the manuscript confidential and must not use it for their personal advantage.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should disclose to the editors any conflicts of interest.
-
Editor Ethics:
- Publication Decisions: Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the scientific merit of the work and the journal’s guidelines.
- Fair Play: Editors should evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
- Confidentiality: Editors must keep all information about a submitted manuscript confidential.
These principles aim to ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity in the publication process of the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR).
