Archive Policy

The archive policy of the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) is designed to ensure that all journal publications remain widely accessible and their integrity is preserved over the long term. Here are the details of our archive policy:

  1. Open Access:

    • IJMR operates on an open access basis, meaning all published articles are available for free with no access restrictions through the journal's website. This ensures that authors' works are accessible to a global audience without barriers.
  2. Regular Backups:

    • To maintain sustainable access, IJMR performs regular backups of all digital content. Data is stored on multiple secure servers in different locations to prevent data loss due to hardware failures or natural disasters.
  3. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS:

    • IJMR participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems, which provide distributed archiving and ensure that journal materials remain preserved, secure, and accessible even in the event of long-term failures in the publishing system.
  4. Portico:

    • Additionally, IJMR uses Portico, a digital preservation service for electronic journals, to ensure that all journal content, including graphics and links, remains accessible and preserved over the long term.
  5. Licensing Agreement:

    • Authors publishing in IJMR agree that their work is stored and distributed by the journal through various digital archiving platforms to ensure long-term access without restrictions.

By implementing these archival strategies, IJMR ensures that scholarly works are permanently available for future generations, contributing to the ongoing dissemination and impact of multidisciplinary research.
